  • As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a motivated and technically minded Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor to join our team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with technical experience aligned to a Level 1 or Level 2 IT Support/Service Desk role who is eager to take the first step into a career in cybersecurity. You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team where your development and progression are genuinely valued. In this hands-on, client-facing role, you’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end Cyber Essentials Plus assessments working directly with organisations to help them meet IASME and NCSC standards. From conducting technical evaluations and reviewing evidence to providing clear actionable feedback, you'll play a key part in guiding clients through the full certification process.

     

    We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating technical information in a clear and professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills, a passion for cybersecurity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential to thrive in this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver end-to-end Cyber Essentials Plus assessments, in line with IASME and NCSC standards.

    • Scope, plan, and manage assessments in collaboration with stakeholders.

    • Review evidence and conduct technical evaluations (e.g. vulnerability scans, system sampling), providing clear, practical feedback.

    • Guide clients through the certification process, offering expert advice on achieving and maintaining compliance.

    • Ensure assessments are conducted efficiently, accurately, and submitted in a timely manner.

    • Maintain required certifications and up-to-date knowledge of IASME scheme updates and cyber security best practices.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment processes and workflows.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer vulnerabilities are addressed in-line with industry standards.

    Requirements

    Essential:

    • Previous experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 IT support, helpdesk, or service desk role or similar.

    • Experience delivering and/or preparing organisations for Cyber Essentials Plus assessments. 

    • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices and auditing skills.

    • Understanding of vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).

    • Understanding of operating systems, networks, firewalls, and patching.

    • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

    Desirable:

    • Certification as a Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor through IASME or the experience/qualifications to gain this status.

    • Demonstrable experience conducting Cyber Essentials Plus audits.
